As a seasoned dietitian, I have guided countless clients to optimal health through diet and lifestyle change.
Mission
I provide personalized, non-judgmental nutrition care in a safe and supportive environment. Many of my clients lament that their health care visits are brief and leave them feeling frustrated and unheard. My practice strives to reverse this trend. Visits with me are never rushed. I develop strong working relationships with clients as we collaborate on ways to achieve their health goals.
PHILOSOPHY
There is no "one size fits all" dietary approach. I work with a wide variety of diets from vegan to low carbohydrate. I match the eating plan to the client based on medical conditions and food preferences. I advocate balanced, nutrient-dense eating plans that include foods you enjoy. I help clients foster a positive relationship with food and discover which eating style works best for their body.
specialties
I specialize in a variety of gastrointestinal conditions including celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I also frequently counsel individuals with autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s disease.
I am a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). This certification requires specialized training, continuing education, and successful passing of an examination on all aspects of diabetes care. I frequently work with clients with pre-diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, gestational diabetes and LADA.
I advise individiuals facing metabolic issues including overweight, obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Diet and physical activity are the core interventions for treating these conditions.
the Dietitian - Leslie Gaillard
I chose nutrition as my career because I am inspired by our bodies’ ability to heal itself when given the right fuel. Read about my own health story. Nutrition is not just my job; it's my passion.
In my spare time, you can find me in the kitchen cooking up a new recipe, spending time with my family, reading, gardening, or outside soaking up some sunshine.
I’m a “non-diet” dietitian who enjoys helping my clients recognize the eating plan that works best for them. The foods you will always find in my kitchen include berries, greens, beans, avocados, quinoa, and something sweet. Check out my recipes for some of my favorite meal ideas that are both delicious and nutritious.
